How Renting Works

Request your account

After filling out the registration form, a COOP member will connect with you to set up your free account. Then, get ready for your first reservation!

Find your vehicles

Search for vans, trucks, tractors, and trailers that perfectly fit your business’s needs. Request to reserve the vehicles directly from your mobile device or desktop computer.

Pick-up

Once at the pick-up location, have your driver upload photos of the vehicle’s condition and get the keys from the vehicle’s Owner to begin your rental.

Drop-off

To complete your trip, simply return the vehicle to a location designated by the Owner, hand-off the keys, and upload some pictures. Pay the daily rate and mileage, and you're done!

Requirements & FAQs

What’s required to rent vehicles?

To qualify for an account and rent on COOP, all businesses must pass our financial history check with Dun & Bradstreet and have an active USDOT number.

What type of vehicles can I rent?

You can find a wide variety of commercial vehicles, including cargo vans, trucks, tractors, and trailers. Unlike other truck rental companies, we consider multiple factors to determine which vehicles are approved for renting to offer a diverse selection.

Do I need to provide my own insurance?

COOP offers hassle-free and cost-effective physical damage and a $1M liability policy to Renters, but you may use your own coverage if you meet the requirements.

How do prices compare to what I would see at the rental counter?

COOP offers prices that are competitive with local rental counters. Discounts are available for long-term reservations.

How does vehicle pickup and drop-off work?

Vehicle pickup and drop-off is coordinated using our mobile application and is required for every rental transaction. Drivers are asked to upload photos of the vehicle to document its condition, mileage, fuel level, and refrigeration hours (when applicable).

Is a deposit or credit card hold required to rent?

When you submit a rental request, a temporary hold in the amount of 50 cents is placed on your credit card as an authorization. Once a reservation is approved, the authorization will turn into a real charge, and the full amount of the rental will be deducted from your credit card.
