Conventional Box Trucks
With conventional box trucks, the engine is placed at the front of the cabin area which makes visibility a little challenging for the driver. This is one of the biggest disadvantages the conventional box trucks have when compared to other upgraded models, the cab-over design. In addition to the hood, the conventional box trucks are built to suit different transportation needs.
Cab Over Engine Box Trucks
As the name suggests, the engine of these type of box trucks is placed over the cab area. So instead of having it at the front to make the hood, it is placed on top. This design makes it easy for the driver to see ahead, and when compared to the conventional box trucks, the cab over engine box truck has a turning radius of 30% to 40%. As such the box truck can be used to maneuver highly populated areas.
Chevrolet
Chevrolet is also known as chevy and is a subsidiary of general motors. The company was founded in 1911 and began as a Chevrolet Division of General Motors Company. One of the most popular Chevrolet box trucks is the Chevrolet express model which boasts great performance features.
Ram
Previously, Ram was known as Ram Truck Division. It was founded in 2010 and is an American brand that mainly focuses on the manufacture of commercial vehicles that include trucks and vans. It is headquartered in Auburn and has some of the best box trucks. Box trucks also boast great features including power steering, anti-lock braking system, and rear-view camera, etc.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Mobile Billboard
Box trucks are a great medium for mobile billboard advertisements. They are fully enclosed, so in addition to hauling cargo, they are also used for advertisement. Billboard advertisement is one of the traditional modes of advertisement, but it has a high ad recall rate. What’s more, the truck is mobile meaning that you will have more eyeballs for the advertisement. It is also a great way of communicating about your brand while increasing awareness in your city.
Repair Services
The good thing about box trucks is that they can be customized. A lot of businesses dealing with construction, electrical repairs, and plumbing, just to mention a few, also deal with a lot of repairs. A box truck can be customized to suit the nature of the business, and even better, they are big enough to carry everything you will or might need. So, even when attending a repair task, you don’t have to go back to your work station to get more stuff if another job arises.
Furniture Hauling
Box trucks are also a perfect fit for moving businesses which often involve both office and house furniture and appliances. Fitted with technology-enabled security and performance features, drivers can avoid theft during trips and also secure the cargo from unfavorable weather conditions. Additionally, big-box trucks are powerful enough to haul large and heavy furniture that may be challenging to move. While some appliances and items are delicate, box trucks are secure enough and will get the items to the destination in one piece.
