Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Cargo Transportation
While the primary function for reefer straight trucks is the transportation of perishable goods and other products that are temperature-sensitive, they can also be used for the transportation of cargo. The refrigeration systems in reefer trucks don’t always run, they can be switched off if a need to transport dry cargo arises. This is a great way to cut on costs of having both a reefer straight truck and the standard straight truck.
Food Transportation
Food is perishable and at all times, needs to be transported under specific temperatures to avoid spoilage. A lot of frozen foods sold in supermarkets and those which are used in restaurants are often transported in reefer trucks where the temperature is controlled. This could be packaged food or raw food products.
Flower Transportation
Flowers also need certain temperature-controlled conditions to survive harsh weather conditions. If exposed to high heat and humidity during transportation, then they will get spoiled before reaching their destination. To preserve their freshness, they are transported in refrigerated straight trucks that offer a wide range of temperature control.
Meat and Meat Products Hauling
Meat and other meat products easily go bad if exposed to certain climatic conditions. To keep meat fresh drivers use reefer straight trucks for their transportation. Also, most restaurants use refrigerated straight trucks to transport fish and other seafood types without exposing them to harsh temperatures.
Medical Applications
Reefer straight trucks are also used for medical applications which include the transportation of medical equipment, organ and blood donations, hospital lab chemicals, etc. All these items thrive under specific temperatures, and what’s more, safe transportation translates to better-functioning hospitals.
