Stretch Single Drop-Deck Flatbeds
Stretch flatbed trucks usually have lengths varying between 45 ft to 85 ft and widths of up to 8 ft. They are used for hauling freight of up to 8,6 ft in height and maximum legal weight of 45,000 lb. They are called stretch because the deck can be stretched to accommodate more freight, and as such, they are also called extendable flatbeds.
Lowboys
Lowboy flatbed trucks, just as the name suggests are often extremely low when compared to other flatbed trucks. They are characterized by two drops at the deck, one after the wheels and the other one after the gooseneck. They can carry a maximum freight weight of up to 40,000 lb and can have lengths of 24 ft- 29.6 ft.
Double Drop With Detachable Deck
Double drop flatbed trucks are as wide as 8.6 ft and have a total length of 48 ft with a bottom well as long as 28 ft. They can carry a maximum legal freight weight of 42,000 lb and a legal height of 11.8 ft. The double drop aspect which creates the bottom well allows the hauling of freight that is cumbersome to carry with traditional flatbed trucks.
Hino
With a Hino flatbed truck, there is just so much that you can get done whether your transportation needs are light-duty, medium-duty, or heavy-duty. They come in different varieties suiting most business tasks so you can rent a flatbed truck in San Antonio with COOP.
Utility

Iveco

Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Heavy Hauling
Flatbed trucks are widely used for hauling heavy-duty freight. The good thing is that they vary in terms of features, sizes, and some have multiple axles which increase the freight capacity of the flatbed trucks.
Automobile Transportation
Flatbed trucks are also used for hauling automobiles. The fact that they are flat, long, and heavy-duty can be used to haul many automobiles on a single trip. So if you own a vehicle dealership or a towing company, you can rent a flatbed truck of your choice with COOP. In addition, some flatbed trucks are customized which increases the possibilities of the amount of work you can do.
Tall Freight Transportation
Flatbed trucks are largely used for tall freight transportation. Different configurations, especially regarding the height of the truck, allow freight of different height to be carried without breaking any safety laws. In fact, flatbed trucks are also used for carrying freight with an odd shape, since they are platform-like and do not have sides which limit the type of load being carried.
Construction
Just like landscaping, construction requires hauling of heavy equipment. For instance, road construction is an intense form of construction which will require heavy-duty modes of transportation. Cranes, forklifts, and other huge construction equipment need transportation to and from the site, and that is where flatbeds come into play.
