Front Fixed
The most common type of reefer unit, front fixed refrigerated trailers take their name from a single temperature control unit placed at the front of the trailer. Typically these types of refrigerated trailers will have their own power supply separate from the vehicle itself.
Multiple Temperature Zone
Multiple temperature zone refrigerated units are named due to their unique ability to set separate and different temperature zones within the same refrigerated reefer unit. This makes these units a great option for multiple daily deliveries of frozen and fresh food or various flowers that need to be kept at different temperatures.
Wooden Floor
Wood flooring provides greater air circulation and shock absorption than the metallic-floored option in refrigerated trailers. However, the moisture retention over time can also cause them to spoil and need to be replaced. Additionally, because they are less rigid, the wooden floors typically provide a more gentle and cushioned ride for their cargo than metallic floors do.
Metallic Floor
Metallic floors in reefers provide less air circulation than wooden floors, but they also provide cost savings due to their ability to remain at the same temperature with less energy used once cooled. Great for frozen or cooled products that don’t need air circulation, the metallic floor reefers are also more durable than wooden floors.
Manac
Manac is the leading trailer producer in Canada and one of the top specialty trailer builders in North America. Known for their strength, endurance, and performance, Manac brings a special quality of balance to their reefer trailers. Great Dane brings an enormous amount of experience and expertise to their refrigerated trailers. Having manufacturing experience for over a decade Great Dane refrigerated trailers are built to outlast and outperform other brands. These reefer trailers are known for safety, performance, durability efficiency, and the company’s commitment to quality.
Utility
The Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company focuses on continuous improvement to all of its products. In fact, the 300R refrigerated trailer model remains the number one selling unit in North America. With optimized thermal efficiency and maximized performance Utility trailers are undoubtedly a great option to consider.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Medical Equipment
Many different types of medical equipment need to stay within a specific temperature range and must be disposed of if it ever falls outside of that range. This makes refrigerated trailers the right choice of transportation since they help maintain the low temperatures required to transport these items.
Produce Delivery
Fresh produce needs to be kept within a specific temperature range during transportation to prevent spoilage. Reefer trailers with wooden floors ensure that this type of cargo is transported in a ventilated space to preserve its value. Suppliers vendors in Auburn can rent refrigerated trailers with COOP to haul fresh produce within the city.
Personal Care Products
Many many different types of personal care products are delicate and can reduce in value if exposed to high temperatures. It is important to make sure that your cargo of cosmetic or beauty products is transported under a temperature-controlled environment to increase business profitability by avoiding spoilages.
What type of reefer trailer is best for a medical delivery business?
Since there are many different medical products that have different temperature requirements, a multiple zone refrigerated trailer is likely your best option. One with a metallic floor is also best as it ensures constant temperature settings all through.
How much does a refrigerated trailer cost to rent for a month?
Different reefer trailers will have different costs. For daily rentals with COOP, rates start from $60 per day for a large reefer trailer. You can rent your desired reefer trailer for a month and enjoy discounts for rentals that extend for more than a week.
