Multi-Temperature Zone Refrigerated Box Truck
The multi-temperature refrigerated box truck has a cargo area that is separated by partitions into zones that can support different temperature levels. Often, these multi-temperature box trucks have larger and more advanced reefer technology systems to support the multiple temperatures, and can even have separate entrances for the different temperature zones, making loading and unloading without disruption to a separate temperature zone easy.
Insulation Box Truck
The insulation box truck is a mix between a traditional box truck and a true refrigerated box truck. This truck doesn’t have the refrigeration technology to support a temperature-controlled cargo unit, but it does come equipped with 50 millimeters of insulation which allows the driver of this truck to transport cool goods for short distances due to the insulation. This type of box truck will not be recommended for frozen or perishable items but can be a great option for personal care products or flower delivery.
Semi-Freezer Box Truck
The semi-freezer box truck is insulated with 75 millimeters of insulation materials and comes equipped with a refrigeration system for keeping cargo freight cool. This variation of refrigerated box truck has “semi” in the name because, despite it having a refrigeration system, this type of reefer is not equipped to store frozen goods. This variation of reefer is best for cooled goods instead.

Wabash National
Wabash National, founded in 1985, is an American manufacturer headquartered in Lafayette, Indiana. They are America’s largest producer of semi-trailers and liquid transportation systems, with their specialty including the production of dry freight, refrigerated, and platform commercial vehicles. Some common refrigerated box truck models you may find from Wabash include the Wabash Arcticlite and the Wabash MSC Reefer.
Fruehauf Trailer Corporation
Fruehauf was founded in 1918 and was acquired by Wabash National in 1997. This means that Fruehauf’s quality and design are inspired by the quality of their parent company. These reefers are available with different options, including tandem and single axles, rear swing or lift doors, and different styles of Thermo King refrigeration technology. With 24 ft., 26 ft., and 53 ft. options to be found on the market, the Fruehauf reefers can support your refrigerated freight hauling operations.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Produce Delivery
If produce is not kept to a proper cooling temperature, the consumer of the produce runs the risk of being exposed to foodborne illnesses. Because of this, it is important to rent a vehicle that can cool your produce freight without any disruption. The refrigerated box truck is a great option that can do just that and help prevent foodborne illnesses when cooled to the proper temperature while being transported.
Flower Delivery
Refrigerated box trucks are great for delivering flowers because they are easier to maneuver than some other refrigerated transportation options, and also because they can support the temperature that many of these flowers need to be stored in to avoid premature wilting. Consider renting a refrigerated box truck for your flower delivery needs with COOP.
Medical Equipment
Medications, in order to have their highest level of efficacy, need to be stored at very specific temperatures. A multi-temperature refrigerated box truck is a great choice for transporting different types of medications that need varying temperatures for their storage as they get transported between the manufacturer and the patient who will be consuming this medicine.
