Light-Duty Straight Truck
With an average cargo load capacity of between 8,500 lbs. to 14,500 lbs., light-duty straight trucks are a great option for transporting your cargo. Due to their smaller size, this truck variation gets a higher mileage per gallon than a bigger truck variation. They are also easier to drive than the next step-up and make a great rental option for someone looking to transport light-duty cargo.
Medium-Duty Straight Truck
If you need something a little larger than the light-duty straight truck variation, consider a medium-duty straight truck. These trucks have the capacity to load between 15,000 lbs. to 33,000 lbs. of cargo. Due to their size, this variation of straight trucks typically comes loaded with a diesel engine which helps this truck still get a high fuel efficiency, and they are still easier to drive than a semi-truck with a trailer.
Cabover Straight Truck
A cab-over box truck is a truck that situates its driver’s cabin over the truck’s engine, giving this variation of box trucks a flat front of the truck. This makes the truck easier to maneuver and increases the visibility of the driver because they sit closer to the front of the truck. This style of truck can be found in light-duty or medium-duty variations of box trucks.
Isuzu
A brand devoted to its craft in the diesel engine and commercial vehicle market space, Isuzu focuses on making quality vehicles. Founded in 1916, this Japanese manufacturer is a great rental choice for your straight truck vehicle rental needs due to its quality. Some common models you may come across on the platform as you search for vehicles to rent include the Isuzu NPR or the Isuzu NQR.
Freightliner
Built to be tough and endure the rigors of real-world operation, Freightliner is a durable brand that can be relied upon. The American company was founded in 1942 and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Some popular straight truck models you may find available for rent with COOP include the Freightliner Columbia 120 and the Freightliner Business Class M2 106.
Hino
Hino, America’s fastest-growing brand for medium-duty trucks, got its start in 1942 when it spun off from the parent company, Toyota. The Hino brand is another great choice you may find for rent with Coop, and the models of straight truck you may find include the Hino 338 and the Hino 258.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”

Appliance Delivery
The shape and size of the straight truck make it a great truck option for appliance delivery jobs. When renting a straight truck for your appliance delivery needs, you’ll notice high cargo load capacities, loading ramps, and easy to secure cargo space as the main reasons why this style of truck is great for appliance delivery.
Furniture Delivery
Appliance delivery and furniture delivery have very similar needs. Because of this, all the reasons that make the straight truck a great choice for appliance delivery, including the cargo load capacity, loading ramps, and secure cargo space, also make it a great choice for furniture delivery. Consider renting a straight truck with COOP for your furniture delivery needs.
Final Mile Delivery
Final mile delivery is arguably one of the most variable parts of the logistics process. It is the final stage of an order’s journey where the product gets delivered to the customer and is named after the “final mile” that is driven to get the product to the consumer. Because variables like traffic, the skills of the driver, and the frequent stops are hard to control, it’s important to make a good decision with the truck that you rent for the job because you can control that. With their better maneuverability, agility, and fuel efficiency than many other truck options, the straight truck is a great vehicle for final mile delivery needs.
