Conventional Box Truck Design
One of the box truck variations is based on the outside appearance. The conventional box truck design has a protruding front because of the engine’s location, which is right at the front of the engine. This outlook elongates the wheelbase length making the cabin area more comfortable for the driver.
Cab Over Engine Design
The engine compartment placement results in the name ‘cab-over-engine’. The cabin area sits directly above the engine compartment. This is an upgrade of the conventional truck design with the aim of making the front more visible for the driver. A tighter turning radius also means that the driver can easily drive through narrow and busy streets.
Refrigerated Box Trucks
To transport cargo under temperature-controlled conditions, some box trucks have refrigeration units fitted in the cab area. These help to ensure that the atmospheric conditions are suitable for the cargo being shipped. These refrigeration equipment are often modified depending on the kind of tasks that need to be undertaken.
Isuzu box trucks are a top brand pick for Renters on COOP. An example of a reliable Isuzu box truck model is the Isuzu NPR. It is a flexible truck option that is very easy and affordable to maintain. Over the years, the company has been utilizing top-notch technological innovations to deliver optimum quality and performance. While loud engine noise is a challenge for most brands, Isuzu has worked to eliminate it from its fleet of trucks.
Thermo King trucks are also on the top of the list on our platform. The company’s wide range of refrigerated options has led to the brand gaining worldwide recognition as a top reefer manufacturing company. These trucks consume little fuel which reduces their operation and other maintenance costs.
If you are looking for a high-performing truck that can be comfortably driven at high speeds without sacrificing stability, then Scania is a good brand choice. The dashboard features are well-situated to ensure that the driver can easily reach them when needed. Also, the general layout of the cab area as well as the external outlook is very unique and stylish.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Inbuilt refrigeration units make it possible to haul temperature-sensitive goods without counting big losses from spoilage. Depending on the type of food products you need to haul, the reefer equipment has different settings that allow you to choose and adjust accordingly.
