These are modified to haul items impossible to haul using standard flatbed trailers. They are extendable to the desired length and are made to haul freight safely preventing an overhang. They also come in different lengths, mostly varying from 48 ft to 80 ft, and can haul freight of up to 43,000 lb.
Used for hauling oversized loads, stretch double drop flatbed trailers are built with a well at the main deck. This well sits lower than the main deck and is usually between 25 ft to 29 ft. On the other hand, the main deck ranges between 29ft to 65ft in length. Also, stretch double drops can haul up to 45,000 lb of loads.
