Pup Trailers
Pup trailers are relatively smaller than other types of dry trailers, usually between 26-32 feet in length. This makes them flexible enough and can therefore maneuver in congested streets, urban centers, and construction sites. Some of the common uses of pup trailers include the transportation of concrete, cement, and other construction materials. A major perk is that they have easy loading and unloading features.
Moving Vans
Dry trailers are used as moving vans, especially those which are fully enclosed. Moving companies use dry van trailers because they are spacious enough to fit household appliances, and furniture, etc. Also, privacy and safety are assured since these dry vans are enclosed and have strong lockable doors. The trailer is made to withstand long hauls which means they can move a client’s cargo across several miles reliably.
General Dry Vans
General dry vans are fully enclosed vans that are box-like. They are the most common types of dry trailers with the biggest sizes. They are perfect for hauling non-perishables either in boxes, palletized, bags, or loose loads such as grains, electronics, and furniture. They can either be full truckload or less-than-truckload, depending on the intended use.
Wabash
Wabash National Corporation is a leading American manufacturer of dry trailers such as the Duraplate that has indisputable workmanship, performance, and customer focus. They are custom-made to meet various freight requirements be it full truckload or LTL. The new Duraplate HD dry van model has been made 300 lbs lighter than the older version and yet strong enough to support heavy weights with extraordinary durability and an incredible payload capacity. The cell core is technologically created to be durable enough to maximize payload capacity and also to minimize impact and abrasion damage
Stoughton
The Wisconsin-based company produces dry vans and grain trailers among other types of transportation equipment. The dry vans are assembled to give your business a competitive advantage due to quality and high-class craftsmanship. The aluminum sheet & post-dry van is smooth and strong making it perfect for your long-distance freights at a low cost per mile. These trailers are durable with a great payload and can withstand various road conditions. The grain trailers by Stoughton are designed in different sizes ranging between capacities of 900-1500 bushels.
Great Dane
Great Dane produces durable and highly dependable dry trailers that optimize productivity for your business. The dry vans by Great Dane have enduring and durable characteristics thus protecting your cargo with a tough roof and side walls (high corrugated-galvanized steel) that withstand all sorts of weather. Great Dane’s rear frame prevents corrosion and is also resistant to discoloration and flaking. COOP gives you the opportunity to access this brand’s dry trailers based on their availability in Columbus.

Appliance Transportation
Dry trailers, and especially the general dry van trailers are used in hauling appliances. This could be from their source companies to retail shops or delivery to customers from retail outlets. Appliances are delicate and vulnerable to external elements such as rain and theft making such trailers suitable.
Construction Industry
Dry trailers are used in the delivery of different construction materials such as cement, sand, etc. Pup trailers perfectly deliver these materials to construction sites despite the congestion due to their maneuverability.
Moving
Dry vans are used for moving homes or offices. They are fully enclosed which ensures protection of the goods as well as privacy. They also have a maximum payload making them spacious enough to fit a large batch of cargo.
