Multi-temperature Reefer Trailer
One would expect a trailer with a refrigeration system to have a single temperature range throughout the box. However, innovation and technology have led to the manufacture of multiple temperature zones in these trailers. Such that, the same trailer has different temperature compartments instead of an even one.
These reefers are, therefore, perfect for the transportation of products that require different temperatures under one roof making them economical and efficient to operate your business. They are mostly applicable in hauling flowers, pharmaceutical products, personal care products, and farm-produce batches, etc.
Heavy Duty
Refrigerated trailers can either be heavy-duty or medium-duty based on size. If your business entails heavy-duty freights such as beef delivery from slaughterhouses to processing companies, a large reefer trailer could be efficient thanks to its powerful features. This means that the load will be carried all at once without needing to use several small trucks.
Wooden Floor
Some refrigerated trailers are made of wooden floors which have the advantage of perfect airflow for products that need such. Also, this type of floor gives your cargo good base support and acts as a perfect shock absorber especially on rough terrains. However, if the type of cargo in transit is extremely heavy, wood might not be applicable because it is weaker compared to metal.
Metallic Floor
Metallic floor is durable and strong enough to support heavy loads. This means that the floor is not easily damaged even when the load is dragged along during unloading. Mostly, these floors are made of steel and aluminum which are non-corrosive, smooth, and strong. These features make the floor easy to clean thus maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene essentially if you handle food products or medical applications.
Thermo King
This is the most common brand known for the production of refrigerated trailers. Be it urban distribution deliveries, long-hauls, or catering, Thermo King has your back. The reefer trailers reduce the losses that are associated with damage to foods during transit since they guarantee freezing conditions of up to 30 hours. The brand has an advanced tracking system making it possible to monitor your shipment from anywhere.
Utility
Utility customizes refrigerated trailers that are strong yet lightweight with an optimized payload. They have incredible features such as durability, efficiency, safety, and incredible performance. The floors are mainly made of aluminum.
The doors mainly located at the rear side or side are bonded with a foam that maximizes its thermal efficiency and also prevents entry of moisture. The USS-120A-4 for instance has an aerodynamic side skirt that optimizes fuel efficiency. The cooling systems are of high quality making them dependable during long hauls.
Hyundai
Hyundai is a North American trailer manufacturer with innovation, versatility, and customization as its core business. Innovation has enabled the brand to produce anti-corrosion and hot galvanized bodies for these trailers which can be customized to meet specific cargo requirements. Hyundai heavily invests in R&D which has led to design technology, quality, and fast delivery solutions.
