Wooden Floor
Often the type of floor installed in reefer box trucks is wooden, and the most common material is hardwood. It not only provides traction for the cargo but also works best in ensuring good airflow to prevent the occurrence of mildew. The other reason why wood is present in these trucks is the shock absorption ability of the material. Woods acts as a natural shock absorber and guards the cargo against damage while going through rough roads.
Front Fixed
The truck has a single temperature control unit house within the cargo area. This allows for the shipment of goods that have similar temperature requirements under one roof. In most cases, the temperature control unit is installed at the front of the cargo area hence the name. The position of the unit plays a part in the even distribution of temperature.
Multiple Temperature Trucks
A multiple temperature zone box truck as opposed to a front fix has more than one temperature control unit within the cargo area. The units can be placed strategically throughout the length of the truck to provide varying conditions for different goods in transit.
Wabash
North American businesses have been some of the biggest users of refrigerated box trucks from Wabash. The trucks are user-friendly and very efficient in matching productivity to operational costs. The spacious cargo area allows for a sufficient payload that translates to good revenue generation.
Hino
Hino is committed to the continuous improvement of the cooling unit on their trucks. The company has aimed to design simple, reliable, and eco-friendly trucks and that's what their refrigerated box truck has to offer. They are fuel-efficient as much as performance-oriented.
Great Dane
Great Dane trucks have a lot to offer for their users. Be it safety, drivability, or fuel efficiency, Great Dane reefer box trucks are ready to serve you. With the use of technology and high-quality components, the trucks exude great performance and thermal efficiency.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Food Delivery
Refrigerated box trucks have been working overtime in the sustainability of the food industry. Moving fresh produce to its intended consumer has been capable due to the availability of reefer trucks. Hotels and restaurants are also using refrigerated box trucks to haul pre-cooked meals to their franchises and other retail stores.
Medical Applications
The way most reefer trucks work is by controlling the temperature conditions of the cargo area. The truck works well by retaining the required state of the product throughout the journey. Most medical equipment cannot withstand harsh climatic conditions, it renders them ineffective. As such, they are always kept under temperature-controlled environments, even during transportation. To successfully transport medical equipment, rent a reefer box truck with COOP.
Delivery of Personal Care Products
Most care products need to be transported under certain temperature conditions to ensure their chemical content isn't altered. Some of the products might have different temperature requirements from others. The use of a multiple temperature zone box truck is most favorable for accomplishing such deliveries.
