A metallic floor is strong and durable compared to other materials such as wood. The floor can withstand heavy loads and doesn’t get easily damaged even when the goods are dragged. Reefer manufacturers mostly use aluminum or steel which are resistant to corrosion making them easy to clean. This also helps to maintain high levels of hygiene while keeping off bad odors.
Wooden Floor
Reefer straight trucks made of wooden floors are mostly fitted with hardwood. The wooden floor acts as a shock absorber and provides good base support for your delicate cargo, especially on tough terrains. Also, this floor allows better airflow for your cargo. It is however important to choose a smoothly furnished wooden floor that can be easily cleaned.
Multi-temperature Trucks
This type of reefer straight truck is installed with multiple temperature zones, which makes it possible to transport various products with diverse temperature requirements. You can for instance haul assorted fruits and vegetables at the same time although they have different temperature requirements.

Utility
Utility also produces classic refrigerated straight trucks. These reefer trucks are strong yet lightweight with an optimized payload capacity. One of Utility’s goals is to give its users durable, efficient, safe, and high-performance trucks. The floors are mainly made of aluminum with a non-tapered wear band giving it maximum strength. The rear doors are made to maximize thermal efficiency and act as a seal to prevent the entry of moisture. The USS-120A-4, for example, has an aerodynamic shape that optimizes fuel efficiency and also aids in lowering the resistance of tires. Utility’s cooling systems are highly innovative making them efficient and dependable for multiple deliveries.
