Refrigerated Straight Trucks
Straight trucks can be custom-made with refrigeration systems making them perfect for the transportation of temperature-sensitive freight. These straight trucks are highly versatile, configured to enable the transportation of different types of goods. For instance, the floor can be made out of wood or metal while the temperature systems can be configured as single-temp or multi-temp.
Cab-over-engine Straight Trucks
These types of straight trucks are flat-faced with the engine compartment fitted just below the cab area. When compared to conventional straight trucks, this design helps to enhance visibility for the driver since they can see what is directly in front of them. Visibility is additionally maximized by the driver’s raised position on the hood making them suitable for urban center use and also residential areas. Cab-over-engine straight trucks are flexible giving them the ability to maneuver in streets.
Conventional Straight Trucks
Conventional straight trucks have a protruded cabin where the engine is located. They are strong and have great engine power capable of getting the task at hand efficiently done. However, visibility is usually limited since the driver doesn’t see things that are directly in front of them. This makes them less ideal for residential areas and congested urban centers but perfect for remote areas.
Thermo King
Thermo King is a leading truck-manufacturing American company and is commonly associated with temperature-controlled trucks. The trucks have proven to be trustworthy over the years in the transportation of temperature-sensitive cargo. Delivery Services
A common use of straight trucks is delivery because of their high maneuverability. This enables you to drive in different areas, including narrow driveways as well as congested parts of the city. The cab-over-engine design is great due to the tight turning radius and high visibility.
Flower Delivery
Flowers are very perishable which means they need reefer trucks for transportation. Straight trucks fitted with refrigeration systems perform this task perfectly since they maintain cold temperatures for the set time. The ample space also allows you to organize and properly arrange your loads in the cargo area.
