Cab Overs
Cab over tractors used to have a flat front. These were known as the cab over engine (COE) tractors. The engine was located right above the cab area of the tractors, which is why the front part was flat. While these were common some few years back, most manufacturers don’t build them anymore.
Modern Semi-tractors
Unlike the cab over tractors that had a flat front, these are built with a longer nose. The difference between the two is the location of the engine, so instead of fixing it above the cab area, it is placed at the front of the tractors. They are the modern versions of day cab tractors and are also known as a tractor-trailer.
Freightliner
While Freightliner is regarded as a top trailer manufacturer in the US, their day cabs are also highly sought-after in different parts of the world. It has a good number of tandem axle day cabs serving in the transport industry today. In North America, it is regarded as a top truck manufacturer and its products beat most of their counterparts in both performance and safety.
International
International tandem axle day cabs have been regarded as top performers and highly reliable tractors. The company is one of the best tractor manufacturing companies. It has been in operation for years and over that time, it has gradually improved quality and ensured to deliver the best tractors to its customers.
PACCAR
PACCAR tandem axle day cabs offer great features for the driver with different kinds of needs. The company uses different innovative technologies to improve its production and this explains why their tractors are some of the most sought-after tractors. Due to high demand, the company has branched out to different sales outlets around the world.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Farm Applications
Tandem axle day cabs are also used for different farm applications. These range from hauling huge farming machinery and equipment to carrying grains, farm produce, fertilizers, and even hauling unmovable farm vehicles.
Heavy Load Transportation
Because of the two drive axles, tandem axle day cabs are used for the transportation of heavy loads. The double drive axles offer the required support to carry heavy loads without affecting acceleration or causing other inefficiencies. Besides being able to carry heavy loads, tandem axle day cabs can carry wide loads despite the weight, so the range of heavy loads they can carry is wide.
Landscaping Applications
Tandem axle day cabs can also be used to haul different equipment used in landscaping. Whole trees and machinery used in landscaping can be efficiently hauled at the back of tandem-axle day cabs. Depending on the haulage needs, landscaping businesses can access different tandem axle day cab rentals on the COOP platform.
