Flatbed Trailers
Just as the name suggests, flatbed trailers are trailers that look like a flatbed, they have no sides. They are used for carrying heavy-duty cargo which could be of any size or shape, as long as it does not violate any road safety regulations.
Refrigerated Trailers
Refrigerated trailers come in different sizes and are used to carry goods and products that require temperature control. Most of these trailers have a refrigeration system with wide temperature control and to cater for different cargo needs that need transportation.
Grain Hopper Trailers
These trailers are used for heavy-duty freight transportation. The grain hopper trailers are of two types, the open grain hopper trailers, and the closed grain hopper trailers. The open grain hopper does not have a roof but the closed grain hopper has a roof and both of these trailers are used for transportation of loose bulk cargo like coal, ballast, and grains.
Dry Van Trailers
In the U.S, dry van trailers are a common method of freight transportation. They do not have temperature control like refrigerated trailers and hence can only be used to transport dry, heavy-duty cargo like boxes and other different products.
Heavy Haulers

They can also be used to carry big locomotives that are not safe for road travel or which do not have a permit for the same.
