Refrigerated or reefer box trucks are specifically made to haul temperature-sensitive cargo. The cargo area is fitted with a refrigeration unit and is adjustable to meet the requirements of the goods in transit. And the materials used to make the interior can be different depending on the intended use.
Conventional box trucks have a long bonnet, where the engine sits right in front of the cabin area. It is easier to access the engine and the trucks are comfortable since the driver sits behind the front axle. In addition, the cab area is spacious than most truck body designs.
Sometimes the engine is placed under the cabin area to create a flat surface at the front. This shortens it as well as reducing the turning radius making them easy to maneuver. The cabin area sits above the front axle to enable better visibility for the driver as they are positioned further forward when compared to long bonneted trucks.
Volvo is internationally recognized as a top brand with some of the best models of box trucks. With a Volvo truck, you are assured of a quality ride and a convenient way of completing the task at hand. The interior has a unique design and when it comes to performance, Volvo trucks are efficient.
One factor that makes Freightliner a top pick for a lot of businesses is the fact that they reduced the cab noise by 50%. While less cab noise is not something that a lot of business owners consider, it helps to reduce fatigue and stress during long-hour jobs. This is an attractive element for businesses that involve a lot of high-grade tasks.
Scania has exceptionally good safety ratings when compared to most truck brands. They are good to drive and are popular because of the attractive fuel economy. Also, the cab design is unique and the cargo area is customized to suit multiple business demands.

Box trucks/straight trucks are also commonly used for moving services. They are well-enclosed and perfect for hauling furniture and appliances. They are also perfectly sized to suit most of the small streets and driveways in residential places.
Refrigerated box trucks are the perfect vehicle for moving produce. To preserve the quality and freshness of different types of produce, the temperature in the cargo area is regulated. From fresh fruits to produce and even other types of dairy produce, it offers endless possibilities.
