Available Box Truck Types

On the COOP platform, common variations of Box Trucks listed for rent in Miami, FL include:

Light Duty Box Trucks

Light duty box trucks resemble cargo vans and are also referred to as cutaway vans or cube vans. While they are shaped like a box at the back, they look like cargo vans in the front and most of them have a minimum load capacity of 8500lbs and a maximum of 14,500lbs. With an engine of 12mpg and about 30 gallons, light duty box trucks are highly convenient considering the fact that they are used for carrying light loads.

Medium Duty Box Trucks

Unlike light duty box trucks, these trucks have a load capacity ranging from 15,000lbs to 33,000lbs. Also, most of them have fuel tanks ranging from 33 to 50 gallons and an mpg of 13. Some of the most common trucks in this category include Freightliner M2, GMC W4500, and the International 4300. Medium duty box trucks often have a minimum length of 18 ft. and a maximum of 26ft.

Conventional box trucks

Conventional box trucks have a unique physical appearance when compared to other types of box trucks. Their engine is placed at the front where the steering wheel sits, and this gives them a ‘nose’ which sets them apart from the rest of the fleet.

Cab Over Engine

Also abbreviated as COE, the cab over engine box trucks have the engine placed at the cab area. They do not have a protruding in front of the truck nose because the engine is placed below the seats in the cab.
