Refrigerators and Freezers
There is no big difference between the refrigerator and freezer trailers. Mostly, they are both used for the transportation of frozen foods and other goods that need low temperatures during transportation.
Cryogenic Reefers
These are a rare type of reefer trailers. They are mostly used for medical applications and sometimes by technical companies. They are designed to preserve cargo under really low temperatures, which is often lower than that of standard reefer trailers. Also, these reefers are rare on the roads and are only used under special occasions.
Heated Trucks
Some goods, instead of low temperatures, will thrive under heated temperatures. For instance, some goods do not do well in cold areas and as a result, will need a warmer environment to prevent them from spoiling. The heated trailer will be used in such scenarios.
Hyundai Translead
For being on top of its game, Hyundai Translead was the first awardee of the ISO 9001 certificate which it renews every year. Some of the company’s top output includes reefer trailers, container chassis, dry van trailers, converter dollies, and domestic containers.
Stoughton Trailers
Stoughton has had some of the best reefer trailers, and to increase its production in this category, it opened a new reefer trailer manufacturing plant in Evansville, Wisconsin in 2017. When it comes to durability, quality, and reliability, Stoughton tops the list. Also, in addition to the manufacture of reefer trailers, the company also specializes in the manufacture of intermodal containers, semi-trailers, grain haulers, and chassis.
Timpte
Timpte manufactures and assembles its transport equipment in its headquarters in David City, Nebraska, but has other additional sales stations in different locations, including Sioux Falls and Indianapolis. Through advanced technological development, Timpte has managed to continually improve its production in terms of efficiency, quality, and safety.
Trail King Industries
Trail King Industries has managed to maintain its reputation when it comes to great performance, quality, and efficiency. The company has been in operation for years and throughout its term of operation, it has managed to expand its production to different models for varying applications. Most Trail King trailers differ in load capacity which ranges from 12,000 pounds to 1,000,000 pounds. Its trailers are some of the best and the company has strived to increase its production over the years.

Owned and operated privately, Utility trailers is one of the oldest trailer manufacturing companies since its birth in 1914. Most of its fleet includes refrigerated vans, flatbeds, and dry vans which have always maintained high standards of quality and efficiency. When it comes to the number of reefer vans it has produced in the U.S, Utility Trailers serves as a leading manufacturer.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Biohazards
Medicines, blood donations, chemicals, just to mention a few should be kept safe from extreme temperatures at all times. This also includes their transportation which is done via reefer trailers to keep them safe from contamination and bad weather, by preserving them under specific temperatures.
Photography Supplies
Some chemicals and other film photography equipment are temperature-sensitive items. They need to be transported under certain temperatures because some printing and photo development chemicals may stop functioning if exposed to the wrong temperatures.
Produce and Meats
Meat and most food produce are perishable. For this reason, reefer trailers are used to transport them in order to keep them fresh. Some of the most common produce transported in reefer trailers include dairy products, some vegetables, and other frozen foods.
Medical Equipment
To function properly, medical equipment needs to be kept and also transported under certain temperatures. Most reefer trailers come with different temperature ranges and hence allows the driver to set it to the required amount.
