Front-fixed Style
This type of layout is the most common one, where the refrigeration unit is fixed in one location evening out the temperature in the cargo area. As such, these trucks are used for transporting cargo with the same temperature requirements. This design is also easy to maintain with low costs incurred.
Multiple Temperature Trucks
A multiple temperature zone box truck, on the other hand, is installed with more than one cooling compartment in the cargo area. This is to achieve efficiency and convenience for transporting a variety of goods with different temperature requirements.
Wooden Floor VS Metallic Floor
Reefer straight trucks also come in different flooring, with wood and metallic options being the most common. Since wood is penetrable, it is used to ensure airflow in the cargo area. With incredible shock absorption ability, the wooden floor protects delicate cargo being transported.
Great Dane
The ThermoGuard liner in most Great Dane reefer trucks has a handful of benefits, impacting the overall high rating of the trucks. ThermoGuard-equipped reefer trucks are impact-resistant with protective features and water vapor absorption. These unique liners also contribute to durable reefers and low maintenance costs. Models like the Guardian LT have low ground-to-inside floor heights that make it easy for handlers to easily access cargo from the ground.
Wabash
The thermal technology used in Wabash reefer trucks has helped to increase the thermal performance by 25%. It also has greater damage resistance qualities and is 20% lighter when compared to other alternatives. This equally translates to enhanced durability, reduced fuel consumption, as well as optimum usage of the reefer trucks.
Thermo King
Thermo King is committed to achieving sustainability and is concerned about its impact on both the transportation industry and the environment. The company creates effective cooling solutions for perishable items with several technological advancements in some of their significant cooling features. The use of smart power reduces gasoline consumption, while an expanded coil plan increases engine output.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Pharmaceutical Supplies
Pharmaceutical supplies are temperature-sensitive and require the best care even during transportation. They have to be kept at optimum temperatures to prevent them from losing their effectiveness. With uniform temperatures in the cargo area, you are able to deliver your pharmaceutical supplies in the optimum state.
Fresh Produce Delivery
Renters on our platforms also include farmers and suppliers looking for delivery solutions for fresh produce. The temperature is regulated as required, and if there is a need to transport produce with varying requirements then multi-temp zones alternatives can be rented with COOP.
Food Delivery
Caterers and other businesses in the hospitality industry can also rent refrigerated straight trucks for delivery. While food is perishable, it can be transported via reefer trucks that uphold the value while ensuring high levels of hygiene.
