Multiple Temperature Zone
Just like the name suggests, these are reefer box trucks that are built with different temperature zones. Instead of an even temperature in the cargo area, the levels differ in different sectors. Oftentimes, the temperature zones are usually a maximum of three and this means that you can haul goods with different temperature requirements all at the same time. For instance, the front part of the cargo area could have the lowest temperature while the rear part has a slightly higher temperature.
Metallic Floor
These are refrigerated box trucks made of metallic floors in the cargo area. The surface is flat with no spaces in between meaning that no air goes in or out of the truck. While they are not recommended for goods that need air circulation, they are quite durable.
Wooden Floor
Some reefer box trucks are built with wooden floors in the cargo area. This is because some types of goods with temperature regulation requirements require air circulation. Wooden-floor reefer box trucks are built with spaces in between the cargo area to allow air penetration. If you need to haul temperature-sensitive goods that also require air circulation, this would be the best option.
Freightliner
Freightliner is a common brand when it comes to trucks. It has a range of reefer box trucks built not only to get the job done but to serve for the longest time. Usually, Freightliner trucks are quite reliable and have some of the most unique and powerful engines. The M2 106 model is one of the most popular Freightliner models and comes in different sizes, 20ft-26ft.
Isuzu
For many reasons, Isuzu has been among the best reefer truck brands. Versatility, diversified cargo space configurations, durability, and great performance, are some of the main benefits of Isuzu trucks. Options like 14ft-20ft Isuzu NPR reefer box trucks are common, but there are also other modifications of the NQR models.
Thermo King
Thermo King is known for quality. Its reefer box trucks are great for different business needs. These have powerful engines and long-lasting reefers, both of which are important to consider when choosing a refrigerated box truck. In addition, Thermo King focuses on using the best technology which in turn contributes to performance and ease of use.
