Sleeper
Single axle tractors referred to as sleepers are a bit longer than the standard day cab tractors. The cabin area is larger to accommodate a sleeper berth area that is used by the driver for rest during long journeys. Such that, when a long trip is needed, the driver can always rest in the sleeper berth area before proceeding.
Day Cab
Single axle day cab tractors, on the other hand, have a normal-size cabin area. They are simply used for short trips, as the name insinuates, daytime duties. They might not be as comfortable for long trips because they have no sleeper cab area in the cabin. When it comes down to fuel options, it can be either diesel or electric. This applies to both Sleeper and day cab single axle tractors.
Mack
While Mack tractors are not the fancy type, they are for sure rugged and super tough. They are also durable and very reliable when it comes to construction work. Another advantage of Mack tractors is that they come with a heavy-duty suspension which is a big plus for most heavy hauling tasks.
Peterbilt
Peterbilt tractors are highly ranked when it comes to quality. From the engine to the bodywork, the quality is top-notch. It has a series of powerful big rigs with great horsepower for different tasks. And when compared to most tractor brands, Peterbilt has some of the best engines.
Freightliner
A major reason why you need a Freightliner tractor is that they are aerodynamically efficient. This means that Freightliner tractors are made with fuel economy engines which translates to lesser expenses when using them. Also, maintaining a Freightliner tractor should be hassle-free.
