Multiple Temperature Zone
With technology that allows different sections of the cargo area to be set to their own temperature each, multiple-zone refrigerated straight trucks can be very efficient for your business. Rather than having cargo loads that are not full and needing to make multiple trips in a day for cargo that needs different temperature settings, a multiple temperature-zone refrigerated straight truck can allow you to load once for all of your deliveries.
Metallic Floor
While they don’t have as much air circulation as a wooden floor refrigerated straight truck will, the metallic floor models are energy efficient and more level. Additionally, because moisture will soak into the wood over time and warp or degrade it, metallic floor reefer trucks will typically last longer than their wooden counterparts.
Wooden Floor
Because the wood is spaced, wood floor refrigerated straight trucks are typically not as level as other metallic floor models. On the other hand, that spacing also provides for enhanced air circulation that metallic floors don’t have, which can be beneficial for cargo such as fresh produce.
