Pup Trailers
As the name suggests this type of trailer is smaller than usual dry van trailers, with a length ranging from 26 to 35 feet. They are often attached to the back of the mother trailer to offer extra room for more goods. They are also very compact when compared to other types of dry trailers.
48 Footer Dry Vans
48 feet is the most common dry van length in the market. As much as 48 feet might sound long, the capabilities of this type of dry van are quite impressive. Its size allows for a load of up to 45000 pounds to be shipped on a single trip. Paired with the right tractor, its 8 by 8 feet height and width offer enough sturdiness to traverse round terrains.
Spread Axle
As opposed to the normal side-by-side axle configuration of the rear axles of a dry van, the spread axle design has a slight adjustment to the distance between each axle. They are spread out. This helps in the redistribution of weight thus making the trailer more stable. Some dry van manufacturers have used this design to ensure that the trailer has increased shock absorption.
Vanguard
Truckers believe Vanguard always has their best interest at heart, and Vanguard has made it its mission to satisfy its customers. Their trailers are designed to provide ease in the transportation of fragile goods. The Maxcube design has the features necessary for the safety of cargo. The interior is fitted with impact-resistant plastic that provides extra protection to the goods.
Great Dane
Great Dane has always put their best foot forward when catering to its end-users. The Great Dane dry trailers are made for both efficiency and performance. An example like the 2019 composite Great Dane dry van works well in providing both aesthetic appeals with durability. The composite walls are corrosion-resistant and strong enough to withstand the punishment of the open road.
Wabash
Wabash National has made it possible for trailer users to enjoy high performance and low operating costs while on the road. Fuel efficiency is the order of the day. The Wabash 28 foot pup trailer is built for durability and reduced fuel consumption. Its lightweight aspect ensures that the overall payload is increased while reducing the amount of fuel needed in completing a trip.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Long Hauls
The enclosure of a dry van ensures the safety of goods no matter the distance covered. In the case of long-distance shipment, goods can easily get damaged due to harsh weather and road conditions. The aluminum or steel enclosure on most dry vans acts as a shield and works to maintain the viability of the cargo.
Delivery Services
Whether big or small, companies that are in the transportation business are always in need of a dry van trailer in accomplishing most of their delivery services. The dry van is cut out for both long and short deliveries. The commodities delivered using a dry might include; dry cereals, soft drinks, fabrics, appliances, and other household goods.
Construction
Due to a robust frame on a dry van, it can ship heavy materials like metal beams. For this reason, it is one of the vehicles used in the shipment of materials to construction sites. Apart from moving heavy items, it also provides temporary storage.
