In addition to having low-temperature reefer trailers, there are also some types which are heated. There are goods that only stay fresh under high temperatures, and that is why heated trailers are made. In contrast to refrigerated trailers which are meant to keep the loads cold, heated trailers are designed to keep the loads warm
Freezer and Refrigerator Trailers
While heated and cryogenic trailers are used to transport specific loads, freezer trailers are the standard form of reefer trailers. They are the normal reefers used for the transportation of perishables and temperature-sensitive goods.
Cryogenic trailers are mainly used to transport liquified gasses and fuels. Some of the gases transported via cryogenic trailers include carbon monoxide, nitrogen, helium, oxygen, argon, and carbon dioxide. For the convenience of the kind of loads they carry, cryogenic trailers have different pump capabilities. Also, they are designed to stay sealed and avoid any unnecessary leakages or accidents during transportation.
Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company
The utility trailer manufacturing company is a household name in the trucking and trailer manufacturing industry. When it comes to utility trailers, you can expect products that are of high quality, lightweight and durable. Utility reefer trailers are also highly customizable, including the other transport equipment manufactured by the company.
Wabash National Corporation

The company is a leading North American manufacturer and has also gained worldwide recognition for producing some of the best semi-trailers. The company has branched out its reefer trailer production which also includes dry vans and platforms.

Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Fine Art and Antiques
Humidity and high heat is bad for art and antiques. It may discolor or make them shrink which devalues them. Most art pieces need temperature regulation during transportation, which is usually at 70 ̊F. Just as they are kept safe in art studios and galleries, so do they need the same care during transportation.
Most drugs are transported under specific temperatures which mostly vary between 35 ̊F and 46 ̊F. A lot of medicine production companies and hospitals use reefer trailers to transport such medicines.
Personal Care Products
Lipsticks, perfumes, soaps and oils, just to mention a few are highly sensitive to temperatures. Very low or very high temperatures may affect their normal state, rendering them ineffective. As a result, they are usually transported under controlled temperatures to prevent them from getting spoiled or getting them useless.
Transportation of Chemicals
Chemicals are highly hazardous. Most chemicals easily react under slight temperature change, and that is why they are kept under controlled temperatures in the laboratories. Equally, during transportation, these chemicals need specific temperature control to avoid unnecessary reactions and accidents. Reefer trailers are used in chemical transportation to keep them in check.
Tobacco products like cigars and some types of cigarettes need specific temperature control during transportation. Exposure to the wrong temperature devalues them and as such, reefer trailers are used to transport such products from the manufacturer to the distributor.
