Tandem Axle Tractor
Tandem axle tractors are built to allow heavier cargo loads and to be more stable at higher speeds such as on highways, due to their extra set of axles and tires. These can also be slightly more difficult to maneuver in certain conditions. Typically, the driver has the option to select drive power from either the front axle only or both, giving you the option based on the environment you are driving in.
Single Axle Tractor
Single axle tractors are smaller and more fuel-efficient than their tandem counterparts, but they can’t carry the same amount of weight. Their smaller footprint also makes them more maneuverable, which can be helpful in certain delivery environments.
Sleeper Cab Tractor
As the name implies, sleeper cab tractors come equipped with a sleeping area built into the cab. Many are separated from the cab by a wall and can provide a number of different amenities to ensure a good night’s rest for the driver. These types of tractors are typically used for long-haul trips so that the driver can be more efficient by pulling over and sleeping in the cab rather than renting a room to sleep.
Freightliner
As one of the most widely-recognized brands in the tractor industry, Freightliner has earned its great reputation through high-quality products that stand the test of time and the rigors of the road. With rapidly advancing technology, Freightliner designs its tractors to deliver better fuel efficiency than its competitors.
Volvo
Volvo tractors are in such high demand from both truck drivers and companies alike that they can demand a price premium over other companies. Volvo has been manufacturing various models of trucks since 1928, and their tractors are some of the most popular on the planet (2nd most sold, in fact) because of their years worth of experience, innovations, and technology. Built with the driver’s comfort, safety, cargo needs, reliability, and fuel savings in mind, Volvo tractors are an all-around excellent experience for your transportation needs.
International
International tractors are some of the most desired around the world due to their reputation for delivering exceptional power and performance. Formed in 1902, International is a leading global producer of trucks for all cargo levels, and their tractors are well-respected among drivers. Many of their models, such as the LT Series, offer different engine options such as a Cummins or International. Their Lonestar model has an eye-catching aerodynamic design that provides optimal fuel-efficiency along with International-standard brand quality and reliability.
Mack
Well known for their durability, ability to handle extremely tough and heavy workloads, and high mileage, the technology behind their powertrain features make Mack trailers an excellent choice for heavy-duty jobs. Owned by the same parent company as Volvo, there is always a significant amount of innovation put into Mack trucks to maintain a high level of quality and dependability. Mack tractors are also highly customizable, which means that you can find a wide variety of different options when looking for a Mack tractor on the COOP app.

Landscaping
Large or commercial landscaping jobs can require heavy-duty machinery, which is why landscaping businesses in Bridgeport use tractors to haul their equipment to their job locations. No matter how heavy or how much equipment you need for your landscaping business in Bridgeport, the COOP app can help you find a tractor rental that is just right for you.
Long Distance Hauling
For long-distance hauling, the best option for both cost-effectiveness and driver comfort is a sleeper cab tractor. These allow the driver to save time by simply pulling over and sleeping in the cab of the truck, and allow cost-effectiveness by removing the need to rent a different hotel room for every night of sleep. Sleeper cabs can help a business maximize efficiency if they have a need for many long-haul trips.
Construction Equipment
The construction business can be especially tough on their equipment, and demand a lot from it. Thankfully, tractors are made to be tough and can haul any construction equipment or machinery that your business needs. If you own a growing construction company in Bridgeport that needs to haul large or heavy construction equipment to your job sites, download and join the COOP app today to find the perfect tractor rental for your business.
