Single Axle Sleeper Tractor
With one set of wheels, a single axle sleeper tractor helps with parking and navigating small roads. It has a smaller size and is not suitable for driving at high speeds.
Tandem Axle Sleeper Tractor
Wheels on a tandem axle come in two sets. This type provides stability while driving at speeds and is great for handling loads. Also, the variant makes for comfortable motion on roads.
Cab Air Suspension Sleeper Cab Tractors
A major difference between this variant and others is its adaptability to rough roads. Usually, sleeper tractors work best on even roads. Suspension sleeper tractors, however, allow ease when navigating bumpy ground without causing damage to the freight. The driver also enjoys comfort while driving. Sleeper tractors of this nature are designed with sensors that enable the vehicle to perform optimally on different terrains.
Freightliner
Freightliner has an array of sleeper tractors in its production line. These include the Cascadia, a top-of-the-line tractor offering comfort, safety, and efficiency. Freightliner has also boosted its interior designs with one peaking 84 inches in height. The brand is a top producer of sleeper tractors and other equipment for conveying freight.
International
One feature of sleeper tractors manufactured by International is the variation in sizes. The brand adapts the size of its sleeper berths to the interior design of the vehicle. It also integrates fresh functionalities into the cab area, allowing the driver to enjoy the ultimate comfort while traveling. In addition to this, the cabs are designed with safety in mind. Some popular models by this brand are International Lonestar and the International LT series. Both are a blend of durability, interior comfort, and efficiency.
Volvo
To begin with, Volvo sleeper tractors are focused on providing safety while driving. The vehicles have collision-prevention features that alert drivers when they are too near to other vehicles. In addition to this, there is a neck-tilt feature that creates less stress for the driver as they steer the vehicle. Volvo VNL 760 and VNR 640 are some notable sleeper tractor designs by the manufacturer.
Mack
Mack sleeper tractors are focused on delivering comfort both on and off the road. The manufacturer has a dynamic suite of products, catering to specific transport needs. The Mack Anthem features as one of the most popular models by this brand.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Long-distance Hauling
Moving freight over long distances is the most prominent use of sleeper tractors. The vehicle combines its ability to travel with heavy loads with driver comfort. The presence of the sleeper berth ensures that drivers have a resting place when fatigued and can store their personal items during trips. Sleeper tractors are a perfect fit for projects that involve long-distance hauling. Unlike day cab tractors, they also save the driver from discomfort and accommodation expenses.
Landscaping
If you are in the landscaping business, you need a reliable vehicle to move your equipment to project sites. A sleeper tractor allows you to do this with ease. A variant suited for off-road uses will also enable you to make hauls to rough terrains. As landscaping is mostly a seasonal project, it makes sense to rent a sleeper tractor instead.
Heavy-duty Freight
Besides comfort, sleeper tractors can convey heavy freight to far-flung places. If you need to move heavy equipment from one city or state to the other, a sleeper tractor is your best bet.
