Cab-over Engine Tractors
This type of tractor is designed with the engine directly under the driver's cabin. It might be cumbersome when trying to conduct routine engine repairs and maintenance but the design has its merit. The raised driver's position helps in road visibility improving vehicle control and safety for other motorists.
Tandem Axle Tractor
Compared to the single axle classification, this tractor has more power due to the extra axle at the back. It usually has the capability for heavy and long hauls. The multiple axles offer a stable base for attaching a trailer and that ensures the sturdiness of the vehicle on rugged roads.
Single Axle Tractor
Due to the single axle at the back, the single axle tractors are light and fast. They work best in the execution of local deliveries. Their slightly smaller frame plays a part in improving the handling of the vehicle within tight city streets.
Kenworth
For dependable tractors, Kenworth has you covered. Over the years the company has been improving the productivity of its vehicles. Due to the unpredictability on the road, Kenworth has boosted the versatility of its tractors to ensure no road is too tough. It's common to spot a Kenworth tractor on highways as much as on off-road trails.
International
International has always been driver-oriented. The tractor's driver's cabin has been designed for the utmost comfort. It is spacious and offers enough legroom for accessing controls. The doors and seats of the tractors have an improved ergonomic design to help in the driver's positioning of their hips and elbows. This ensures the driver doesn't tire easily while on the road.
Peterbilt
In regards to what type of business you want to conduct Peterbilt has a sleeper cab tractor that can match your needs. Both the single and tandem axle tractors are designed to withstand tough conditions on the road. The advancement in technology has also been incorporated into the structure of Peterbilt tractors. The aerodynamic build of the vehicle improves on the speeds, shortening the time in transit.
