Front fixed refrigeration unit trailer
One powerful refrigeration unit is fixed at the front of the trailer and used to control the temperature of the entire shipment. It is usually powered by the use of diesel fuel. The refrigeration unit is usually put in place to ensure that it can be adjusted so as to sustain the temperature requirements of the cargo at hand.
Multiple temperature zone trailer
This is a greatly modified refrigerated trailer, in that, instead of the traditional one refrigeration unit at the front, it has a couple of them in different areas of the trailer. The major reason for having such a feature is to ensure that a wide range of goods can be carried at the same time. Different cargo that differs in temperature requirements are placed in their specific temperature zones.
Utility
The utility brand has great refrigerated trailers and they are always improving on every new model they produce. With time they have been able to ensure there is high efficiency from their trailers. Most of them are fitted with the multiple temperature feature that cater for your unique demands. To ensure that the goods are safe and secure there is a utility barrier fitted door.
Wabash
Wabash is a well-renowned company that deals in trailers. When it comes to refrigerated trailers it has great designs that you will get to enjoy. The refrigerated trailers are usually light, this not only helps in saving fuel but also contributes in the shipping of more goods. The trailers are also made for durability. They are corrosion resistant and the exterior is tough to an extent that you will require little to no expense when it comes to maintenance costs over a long period of time.
Hyundai
Most of the refrigerated trailers from Hyundai come fitted with air-ride suspension. With this feature, one is able to transport very fragile goods like eggs. They also provide trailers that are of great cubic volume. With such a great amount of space within the trailer, it means more commodities can be transported within one trip. Hyundai has taken upon itself to build trailers that are specific to certain tasks. For example, the Thermotech sp is made for the sole purpose of the distribution of foods.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Transportation of produce
This is one of the most common uses of a refrigerated trailer. Produce are highly perishable and need great care for they are to be consumed by human beings. The temperature must remain at the right levels so as to ensure good food standards are upheld.
Movement of meat-related goods
The consumption of meat and its by-product is on the rise. More people are demanding it day in day out. There is a need for the safe movement of freshly acquired meat from the slaughterhouses to the retailers and finally to your plate. Refrigerated trailers help prevent the growth and presence of harmful bacteria than may come about during transportation.
Engaging in a floral business
When there is too much heat, most flowering plants wilt and lose their natural aesthetics. Owning or renting a refrigerated trailer can help boost and start a business that deals in flowers and other plants. Just like other produce flowers are most beautiful when they are kept under a well-tuned temperature that is mostly cool.
