Tandem Axle Tractor
Tandem axle tractors have two drive axles at the rear that dictate the number of wheels. That additional axle and set of wheels make them very ideal for heavy hauling jobs as the double axle set provides added support for the cargo. Even at high speeds, rides are smoother and sturdier due to increased shock absorption.
Single Axle Tractor
A single axle tractor only has one axle and is lighter and more maneuverable than the tandem axle. This translates to lower load capacity because of lesser stability. On the upside, they are very fuel-efficient making them a great option for businesses that need to make frequent deliveries within the city.
Sleeper Cab Tractor
With a sleeper compartment attached to the cabin, sleeper cab tractors are mostly used for long hauls. Different variations of sleeper cabs even come with restrooms and other amenities, making for a very comfortable driving experience. They are cost efficient as the driver doesn’t have to incur extra costs for comfortable accommodation.
Freightliner
Freightliner is one of the most popular tractor brands around the globe, with tractors that are powerful and very fuel-efficient. The superb driver experience has made Freightliner extremely well-regarded among drivers. The fuel efficiency is mostly a result of the aerodynamic designs that most of these tractors have.
Volvo
Volvo has first-rate experience and reputation in the manufacturing industry. As the second highest-selling tractor manufacturer in the world, their commitment to safety and innovations in the driver experience has led this brand to be favored by truckers all over the world. Its tractors boast unique structures paired with excellent performance making them very dependable.
International
International is committed to excellence when it comes to production. Its line of tractors comes with the option of International or Cummins brand engines. The Lonestar tractor from International has a unique aerodynamic design that provides optimum fuel efficiency. If you choose to rent an International tractor, you get to enjoy pure quality and reliability.
