Single Axle
Smaller, more maneuverable, lighter, and more fuel-efficient, single axle sleeper cab rentals are a very cost-effective method for transporting your cargo. Especially when delivering in or to crowded or urban areas where maneuverability is needed and fuel costs are higher, this option can make your trip both easier and cheaper than it would be using a tandem axle tractor.
Tandem Axle
Tandem axle tractors have an additional set of axles and tires located directly behind (in tandem to) the front axle and tires. This allows tandem axle sleeper cabs to carry heavier loads, and in most models, the driver has the ability to select whether power is going to both axles or the front only. On the downside, the extra axles and tires provide more weight which reduces fuel efficiency, but they can also carry more weight due to the extra axle. If your Stamford business has to carry heavy loads for long distances, tandem axle sleeper cabs are an excellent option due to the increased weight limit, smoother ride, and sleeper cab to provide a rest area for the driver. Download and join the COOP app to find the right tandem axle sleeper cab for your business today!
Diesel Engine
Known for being tough, dependable, and powerful, diesel engines have long been preferred by companies and industries that need engines that can perform under the harshest of circumstances. Diesel fuel also delivers more energy per drop of fuel than gasoline does, which also makes a diesel engine more fuel-efficient. As diesel is also typically cheaper per gallon than gasoline is, it can lead to substantial savings over a gasoline engine in the long run.
Electric Engine
Electric engines have not been used in the trucking industry for very long, but they are rapidly gaining more traction, especially as the cost of fuel rises. Reduced fuel costs are not the only benefit of electric engines over combustion, as these engines also provide more torque which gives greater acceleration. With different states beginning to implement strict environmental guidelines to the transportation industry, be prepared to see electric engines in more models of new tractors in the future.
Peterbilt
There is fierce loyalty among Peterbilt owners and drivers, leading to the brand being called the “Harley Davidson of the trucking world.” Peterbilt is owned by the same parent company that owns Kenworth, making two of the most popular sleeper cab tractors in the US. Peterbilt has more alternative fuel options available than any other brand. Certain models of Peterbilt sleeper cabs, such as the new model 579, use technology to drive fuel efficiency to a level not seen in many sleeper cab tractors.
Kenworth
Whenever the company is designing a new model, Kenworth is known for bringing well-seasoned truck drivers in to consult for the process, putting careful consideration into what those who are actually on the road want and need. This has led to the Kenworth brand being known as, “built by truckers, for truckers.” With highly advanced navigation technology built into their cabs, Kenworth sleeper cabs will ensure that you get to your destination using the most efficient route. While their components make Kenworth tractors a little heavier than their parent company counterpart Peterbilts, that extra weight provides a certain sturdiness that many drivers love.
Freightliner
Freightliner has a long list of processes and focuses that have all led to it currently being the most popular truck among drivers in the US. Providing a multitude of different engine options for just about any cargo requirement, Freightliner also designs their sleeper cabs to be extremely aerodynamically efficient. This can help your profits substantially, especially on long-haul routes where every penny counts. Between their input from truckers, technology that drives fuel efficiency, and a wide variety of options, Freightliner sleeper cab tractors are always a great choice for your next long haul.
Volvo
Although they are ranked as the 5th best tractor manufacturer in the US, Volvo is ranked 2nd globally, which means they sell a lot of vehicles. Volvo has been manufacturing trucks since 1947, and their brand has always been known for unmatched safety, comfort, and efficiency. The Volvo VNL series provides improved airflow for enhanced fuel efficiency, LED lighting for greater visibility and lower maintenance needs as well as dashboard and steering wheel controls to limit distractions.
Mack
Owned by the same parent company as Volvo, Mack trucks combine technological innovation with unmatched durability that comes together to create a sleeper cab tractor that gives an unmatched experience, both for the driver and the cargo. The unique innovations behind the Mack powertrain have long been a popular part of their brand, but Mack has been bringing other types of new technology to the trucking industry. The Mack Anthem sleeper cabs offer a new command and steer breakthrough in driver-assist that makes maneuvering simple and prevents wear on the driver’s body over time. Their Bendix Wingman Fusion 2.0 brings the radar, camera, and brake system data together to integrate data and create an all-around safer driving experience in their sleeper cabs.

Heavy-Duty Hauling
Tractors are made especially for heavy-duty hauling, no matter what the cargo or destination. Whether you are hauling construction equipment, landscaping equipment, heavy cargo loads, or appliances, sleeper cabs can be the right choice for your business in Stamford.
Delivery Services
For long-distance or multiple delivery trips in different locations, sleeper cab rentals from COOP can be an excellent option for your transportation needs. Single axle tractors will give enhanced maneuverability and increased fuel savings, which can especially come in handy when those deliveries are in an urban or crowded area. If you have to haul heavier cargo, a tandem axle sleeper cab can pull more weight and provide a smoother ride at high speeds due to the increased surface friction from extra tires on the road.
