Metal floor
When selecting a reefer trailer interior the material matters a lot. The ease in loading of cargo and the maintenance should be greatly considered. Metallic floors work best in carrying out both. They are easy to clean and do not scratch easily, making them long-lasting.
Wood floor
The nature of hardwood works best as reefer trailer floors. The porous attributes of the material allow for sufficient airflow throughout the entire cargo area. This prevents the development of mildew and mold. It is great to consider the substantial shock absorption capability that wood exudes when compared to metallic floors.
Multiple Temperature zones
These types of trailers offer the best solution for commodities that would have been impractical to ship at a go. The multiple temperature zones cater to goods that have different levels of temperature sensitivity. The trailers are designed to house more than one temperature control unit, each with a designated area or reach.
Vanguard
Vanguard has been upgrading its reefer trailers over the years to a point of achieving up to 12% improvement in thermal efficiency. Apart from improving performance, they have been making steps in both exterior and interior design. The walls are made to be corrosion resistant and easy to maintain by the use of galvanized steel fittings.
Utility
Utility has championed the integration of innovative technologies into the designs of their reefer trailers. The 3000R Refrigerated Trailer from Utility uses foam-in-place insulation within its walls to cater to two crucial attributes, thermal efficiency and weight reduction. The foam covers the entire enclosure reducing thermal wastage while making the entire vehicle lighter.
Wabash
Sustainability is what Wabash reefer trailers are renowned for. Finding new solutions for the ever-changing transportation landscape is one of their objectives. The use of Econex technology in their recent trailers has improved not only the design of the reefers but has also ensured that there are reduced carbon emissions.
Don't just take our word, hear what COOP customers have to say about our platform.
“The supply of short-term rental trucks was almost impossible. COOP was able to help by connecting us to equipment Owners that weren’t utilizing their fleets.”
“I like the convenience of being able to pick up the vehicles when I need them, check them out on the app, take pictures, and get on the road.”
Transportation of Pharmaceuticals
The chemical composition of pharmaceutical products is always at risk of being altered if not stored or transported under appropriate conditions. The reefer trailer makes it easier for companies to move such products to maintain their viability. Pharmaceutical companies in Summerville can easily rent the reefer trailers they need by joining COOP
Transportation of Beauty Products
Most beauty products need to be shipped under specifically low temperatures. And when there is a need to haul across state lines to cater to the high demand, efficient refrigeration is even more important. Lipsticks are good examples of products that quickly lose their value when exposed to high heat, hence refrigeration is required.
Transportation of Poultry Meat
The consumption of poultry meat has been at an all-time high in the past few years and the reefer trailer plays a great role in making this possible. Meat is usually transported at temperatures ranging between -2⁰ to -18⁰. The reefer trailer ensures that the meat retains its freshness throughout the journey.
How much does it cost to rent a refrigerated trailer?
