What if my vehicle is involved in an accident?

If your vehicle is involved in an accident, you will be notified immediately. All renters are covered by liability and physical damage insurance. Our Customer Support team will guide you through our claim process.

Our trusted network of authorized vendors will help with the immediate incident. Costs associated with accidents while under the driver’s responsibility generally are for the Renters to pay. Depending on the severity of the accident, the possible resolutions are:

  • The vehicle is damaged, but working: Whether it is back in working condition as a result of Roadside Assistance or the accident was low severity the rental will go on to completion. At the end of the rental we’ll make an evaluation on the damage. Our team will work with you to get the vehicle back to the condition it was given to us in.
  • The vehicle is damaged, but not working: If your vehicle is unable to be driven, we’ll tow it to a location where we can obtain estimates and begin repairs. As soon as it is able, we’ll get the vehicle back into your lot and settle any necessary costs or reimbursements.

Our team will make every effort to get the vehicle in working condition. If the accident was not caused by issues that could be avoided with preventive maintenance and you elected for our Vehicle Downtime Coverage, your business will continue to earn its daily rental rate until your vehicle comes back or up to 29 days.
